David Lee Roth is a pure performer. He absolutely loves to be on stage probably more than anyone I've ever witnessed before. And even though Diamond Dave seems a little crazy, and maybe nuts at times...I think he just is the most excited when he is in front of a crowd.

These pictures of David Lee Roth were taken at a state fairgrounds in central Indiana to a semi-sparse crowd of 2-3 thousand. This is probably not what Dave had expected 20 years ago when he was playing with Van Halen, however this made no impact on David Lee Roth.

David Lee Roth appeared to be in great shape and put on an enthusiastic concert performance. He told stories - including how he was born in Bloomington Indiana, sounded excellent, and even gave a number of his classic high-kicks and round-houses.
