Why contribute?
- You are an excellent music critic with great writing style and have a desire to share your opinions.
- You go to many concerts and can verbalize what makes and breaks a concert performance.
- You are an experienced concert photographer and want to build your reputation and exposure.
- You are just starting as a photographer, writer, or music critic and need real world experience.
- You have your own website and you want to increase traffic and share in the music community.
Overall Guidelines
- Check grammar and spelling
- Quality content is a must
- Include a 50-100 word personal bio and up to 2 URLs you'd like linked to
- Include a personal headshot to be posted along with your bio (optional)
Album/CD Review Guidelines
- No local bands or demo CD reviews
- The album or artist must be well-known enough and able to be found on Amazon.com or in iTunes
- Reviews must include at least 300 words
- Be objective and provide a quality review of the album that would benefit the reader
- Links to artist/band/record label/Wikipedia/Myspace sites welcome
- All musical genres are welcome
Concert Review Guidelines
- No local bands or demo CD reviews
- The album or artist must be well-known enough and able to be found on Amazon.com or in iTunes, some exceptions can be made for hot up-and-coming artists/bands
- Be objective and provide a quality review of the concert that would benefit the reader
- Attempt to know all or part of the set-list, but not required
- Include the date and location of the performance
- Include the band members' names
- Links to artist/band/record label/Wikipedia/Myspace sites welcome
Concert Photography
- Local bands are permitted - with enough submissions a local band category will be created
- Photos must be of professional or semi-pro quality. Poor quality photos will not be published
- Include a brief (or extended) review of the concert from your perspective. Explain the highlights about the performance or artist that was unique during this performance.
- Include the date and location of the performance
- Include the band members' names
- Submit 4-12 pictures per individual musician from a single performance. Example: If you have 8 pictures each of 4 members of a band, (32 total pictures) that is acceptable. You may also submit up to 12 pictures of 1 musician (lead singer perhaps) per performance.
Photographer's Copyright
Add your "© Your Name" on the lower right-hand corner of the Full Size image only. Use a 10 or 11pt, Verdana, Arial, or Tahoma font, in white. Adding small a black outline or drop shadow behind the white text is permitted.
File Names
Use the musician's first and last name with the date of the performance (year/month/day) in the file name.

Thumbnails must be 125px by 125px at 72dpi
Full size - Max height: 650px, Max width: 750px;
Any aspect ratio is fine, example: 750px by 300px would be a nice panoramic shot.
File Delivery
.Zip files are required when sending more than 6 Full size and thumbnail images in one email.
